More Wii U online talk from Reggie, cross-platform play with 3DS likely different that competitors, no 3D in near future, more

Reggie on how Nintendo can explain Wii U to those who haven’t played it…
“What we are doing with Wii U is creating an ability for games to leverage two different screens; the big screen in your room, and the smaller handheld screen in front of you. By doing so it opens up all of these different experiences. The experience I use to describe it to someone is to imagine a first person shooter, where instead of constantly having to look at the screen, now I’ve got things happening all around me.
“It’s a great experience. I don’t think it’s going to be a hard sell. I think that communicating to consumers through the magic of the second window, you can have a totally unique experience, with another player still in the room… I don’t think it’s a difficult sell.”
Sengoku Basara 3 En heading to Wii

Update: Apparently this game is called “Sengoku Basara 3 Utage”. Andriasang mysteriously updated their report without providing clarification, so let’s just go with this name for now.
Capcom is readying an update for Sengoku Basara 3 for Wii and PS3, Sengoku Basara 3 En, which is set for a release in Japan this fall. Famitsu reports that the title contains new elements such as co-op gameplay and at least eight new generals. Additionally, En will feature new gameplay systems.
“En” means feast or party in Japanese. So it makes sense that the title revolves around light-hearted stories and drama/party themes.

Why Tales of Graces Wii isn’t coming to North America/Europe
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Tales of Graces F, the “enhanced” PS3 game that build off of the original version, is coming to North America. The Wii game is still staying in Japan. Why?
Tales Studio executive Makoto Yoshizumi explained:
“We wish to deliver the best and most complete experience for US and European fans, therefore we’re localizing Tales of Graces f. The game on the PS3 version is on a blu-ray disc. It would be next to impossible to condense all the game’s data on a Wii disc, so unfortunately, there will be no Wii release.”
I don’t know… that reasoning sounds iffy to me. I have no idea how much additional content is in the PS3 game, but does it really warrant the lack of localization for the Wii version? Plus, wouldn’t it be at all possible for Namco Bandai to release the game as is, without the PS3 extras?
