Wii

Would you look at that beauty? It’s reading blog posts like these that remind me I should really start playing Monster Hunter Tri more. I absolutely love the game, almost to the point of obsession, but since I play with friends only, it’s hard to find time when we can all play together, and thus I am only Hunter Rank 9. Here’s the low down on this beautiful sword:

– Strong lightning element
– Requires 5 lightning tickets
– Lightning tickets are obtained through newest event quest: Sea Power
– Sea Power pits you and your buddies up against 2 Lagiacrus. If you’re familiar with Tri, you know how tough these bad boys are, so taking on two at once is no easy task.
– Event quest runs through July 17

SAN FRANCISCO (6 July, 2010) – SEGA® of America, Inc., today announced that Tournament of Legends is now available in stores. The Wii exclusive weapon and magic based 3D-fighter features epic battles in fantastic fighting arenas where players will wield mythical blade weapons, launch 40 magic attacks, and dodge giant mythological creatures that protect the battle lairs. In intense one and two-player fights, players master a range of character and weapon based magic attacks; including unleashing, amongst others, a man-eating lion, Jupiter’s Storm, Thor’s Fury and a nest of venomous snakes. No other Wii weapon fighting game offers this much variety and challenge. Tournament of Legends is available for $29.95 (MSRP).

“We have 10 devastating weapon sets that can be used across multiple characters and 30 incredible enchantments that enhance the combat with a magical flare. Additionally, the game features lots of unlockable content including new characters, weapons, and enchantments that are all unlocked through gameplay. When you couple this with our highly customizable controls and the ability to use the Nintendo Classic controller; we are offering many new features that no other fighting game offers in the Wii market. We set out to offer Wii-gamers a fighting game that was built from the ground up for them; allowing you to choose your character, weapon set, enhancement, and do battle the way you want to” said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage Software.

“Big announcement… 2 days to go!” – Capcom Europe Twitter

I’m not too sure that this is related to Ono’s tease, but we’ll see. I’m also not even sure if it’s Nintendo related! But keep your eyes peeled on the site, as well as on Gaming Everything for updates!
