This may be a bit obvious, but I thought it would be worthwhile to mention that Ubisoft has confirmed that all of Assassin’s Creed III’s downloadable content will be coming to Wii U. The console won’t be included in the just-announced season pass program, however.

Reggie: Miiverse will be a killer app, other news

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime tackled a few more questions in an interview with AllThingsD.
He first commented on Miiverse, which he feels will be an unexpected hit and will grow to become “a true killer application for the system.”
Other topics include Nintendo’s broad competition, forecasts and productions for Wii U, and more.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate tidbits – 1080p on Wii U

The latest issue of Famitsu has a few tidbits on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in its latest issue. Perhaps the biggest news of all is that the Wii U version will support 1080p.
Information from the magazine includes:
– Supports full HD/1080p
– Supports PCM 5.1ch surround sound
– Can use the 3DS touch screen features through the Wii U GamePad
– Once again, can play with others online
– 3DS players can connect with up to three others locally
– Famitsu reconfirms that you can transfer save data between versions with a free app

Power-ups are some of the most important elements in a Mario title. Super Mario Bros. 3, for instance, wouldn’t be nearly the same without the inclusion of the Super Leaf or Tanooki Suit.
You might be wondering: how does Nintendo approach the power-ups? How does Nintendo decide which ones to bring back?
Nintendo’s Takashi Tezuka was asked about this in the latest issue of Game Informer.

We know that the Karateka remake is coming to Wii U. Thanks to a listing on the official Xbox site, the first screenshots and tidbits are now available.
Details include:

It hasn’t been said when the Wii U eShop version is launching. The Xbox Live Arcade edition is due out on November 14.
