Civilization VI: Leader Pass gets surprise release on Switch

2K announced today that the Civilization VI: Leader Pass has just come to Switch and other consoles as a surprise release.
The pass adds 18 new playable leader selections to the game. Although it was not originally planned for a console release, strong community interest and feedback resulted in 2K changing its mind.
Available either as part of the Civilization VI: Anthology bundle or for separate purchase as part of Civilization VI: Leader Pass, new leaders coming to console include:

- Ludwig II (Germany)

- Nzinga Mbande (Kongo)
- Ramses (Egypt)

[5] Requires New Frontier Pass and Byzantium & Gaul Pack to play.
[6] Requires an internet connection; a Nintendo Switch copy of Civilization VI; and a 2K Account linked to the account of the same platform used to play the game.
Those who purchase Civilization VI: Anthology or Civilization VI plus the Civilization VI: Anthology upgrade (or purchase all of the content that’s included in Civilization VI: Anthology separately at any time) are eligible to receive the Leader Pass for no additional charge. You can also link your 2K Account to the account of the same platform used to play to unlock Julius Caesar.
Finally, a new update has gone live for Civilization VI on Switch with numerous adjustments and fixes including buffs to Julius Caesar and additional leaders. More details can be found here.
