Nintendo announces world renowned developer behind their latest RPG The Last Story(tm) to present his latest creation at BAFTA on 16th February

Nintendo today announces that an exclusive event will be held at the London headquarters of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) on Thursday 16th February 2012. BAFTA will welcome the world renowned videogame developer, director and producer Hironobu Sakaguchi to the stage to discuss his illustrious career as the creator behind some of the greatest video games, a departure into film and his return to his heartland of gaming with the creation of the critically-acclaimed The Last Story(tm) for Wii.

Mr Sakaguchi will demonstrate The Last Story(tm) the latest epic RPG from Nintendo ahead of launch on the 24th February to an audience of BAFTA members, press and fans – public tickets can be purchased from http://tinyurl.com/BAFTALastStory at £5 each. The creator himself will take the audience through the twists and turns of the game as players follow the journey and adventures of a band of mercenaries on Lazulis Island. The rich narrative as well as impressive graphics and combat synonymous with Nintendo RPGs will be revealed by the man behind it all before the audience’s very eyes.

Capcom’s decision to sell Resident Evil: Revelations at $49.99 in the United States stirred negative feelings among fans. Essentially, the company explained that the 4GB cartridge led to a higher price point.

Today, however, Capcom confirmed that they have reduced Revelations’ price to $39.99.

A company representative said:

“Late last year we announced the console-sized adventure that is Resident Evil Revelations would arrive on a 4GB card instead of the standard 2GB card; this increase in memory size led to an increase in price as well, raising the retail cost to $49.99. And while we’re confident in the game’s value at that price (and the reviews reflect that sentiment as well), we’re also exceedingly pleased to say that after weeks of effort, we’ve been able to lower the price to $39.99.

“Since the announcement of the $49.99 price point, we’ve spent weeks looking for a way to bring your cost down to standard 3DS pricing. Today we can finally confirm we were successful in this, and hope the reduced price encourages even more people to check out this strong entry in the Resident Evil canon.”

Those of you who were on the fence about Revelations may want to really consider picking this up now. Plus, the eShop demo will give you a great idea about what you can expect in the game!
