Team Meat has been in talks with Nintendo about bringing Binding of Issac to the 3DS. Unfortunately, it won’t be happening. Nintendo rejected the idea because of “questionable religious content” in the game.
Team Meat’s Ed McMillen tweeted about the situation:
“Attention: After a long internal debate Nintendo has decided NOT to allow the Binding of Isaac on the 3ds. …As many assumed the reasons were due to the games ‘questionable religious content’. Thank GOD Steam exists!
Some fans are still reeling over the announcement that Pokemon Black/White 2 are in development for the DS. After all, most studios and consumers have moved on to Nintendo’s latest handheld, the 3DS.
What does Nintendo have to say about the situation?
Here’s a statement from one representative at the company:
“Remember that Nintendo 3DS can also play all Nintendo DS Pokemon games. The Nintendo DS family also has a massive installed base of more than 51 million systems in the United States alone, and we are keen on continuing to deliver new experiences to this audience.”

Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward scenario writer Koutaro Uchikoshi has been keeping track of fan feedback that has been posted to Twitter and various blogs. It seems that he’s been pleased with the comments, as Uchikoshi hinted on Twitter that a sequel could be on the way. According to Andriasang, he said something along the lines of “that they’re getting closer to making a sequel a reality.”
Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward hit Japan two weeks ago. A localized version of the title is scheduled to hit North America later this year.
Thanks to 4Him for the tip!

Mistwalker’s last game was, as many of you know, The Last Story. Development on the Wii RPG was completed in early 2011.
It’s been a year since then, so surely the studio has a new title in the works, right? Well… yes. Mistwalker told Siliconera that they are “working on several projects.”
A representative said:
“We are working on several projects. We appreciate your interest.”
Final Fantasy creator and Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi did recently say that he’s making three iOS games. Aside from those, though, could the company be developing a new console or gaming handheld title as well?
The same representative said:
“At this moment, the only thing I can say is that we are working on several projects.”
How about a game for Wii U, Sakaguchi?!
