– Atari Ships First Action-Adventure Dragon Ball Game

Featuring Goku and Bulma as Kids –

NEW YORK, NY – November 4, 2008 – Atari powers its way into North American retailers today with the release of the latest hit from the Dragon Ball® franchise, Dragon Ball®: Origins for Nintendo DS™. Developed by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., Dragon Ball: Origins takes players back to the original Dragon Ball series and around the world for a thrilling action-adventure game with innovative stylus controls. Marking the first ever Dragon Ball game to feature Goku and Bulma as kids, and filled with several new gameplay elements including puzzle solving, fighting action, and mazes, Dragon Ball: Origins will be an essential and unique part of any Dragon Ball collection. Rated T for Teen, Dragon Ball: Origins is now available for the suggested price of $29.99.

Presenting an all-new story line that takes place before the Dragon Ball Z sagas, Dragon Ball: Origins introduces Goku and his clever sidekick Bulma who must travel the world overcoming enemies and obstacles to collect the 7 Dragon Balls. Players control Goku in two modes: Combat and Power Pole mode. Each mode allows Goku a new set of enemy attacks to protect Bulma from incoming assaults while Bulma’s brains and her knack for handling machines and weapons help the formidable team to defeat the strongest of enemies and overcome the trickiest of obstacles.

Even though Disaster: Day of Crisis is anything but a disaster as far as the actual game goes, much drama has taken place, which, oddly enough, has been created by Nintendo. The whole game, as most know by now, is completely voiced over in English. Yet believe it or not the game still has no release date in North America and the latest news is a strong indication that the game may never arrive in North American shores. The official word coming out of E3 about Disaster in North America seemed to be that sales in Europe would be the decisive factor as to whether or not the game would release. However, the latest European sales charts show that not only did the game fail to reach the top ten games, but also, it is not even in the top fifty list of titles.

Obviously, this isn’t very good news for those hoping that Disaster would eventually release in North America. Poor sales, coupled with discouraging remarks from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, indicate that Day of Crisis may very well stay exclusive to the Japanese and European markets.

Cornell, a proud werewolf whose martial arts are said to be invincible, has come to rescue his younger sister Ada, who was kidnapped and taken to Dracula’s castle. With the blood of beast-men in his veins, in Castlevania Judgment, Cornell is transformed into a wolf and unable to change back.
