“The figures [NPD numbers] across the board [Wii, 360, PS3] are fantastic. There’s no question about it. The industry continues to display signs of being recession proof. As far as platform strategy, our plans of supporting all platforms with titles is completely supported by the November numbers.” – Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development

Nintendo definitely had an amazing November with about around 3.5 million units sold between the Wii and DS. In terms of the Wii, this should prove to third parties that the system still has staying power and perhaps the November numbers will convince a few companies to step up their support for the platform.

“Though Capcom announced Spyborgs a while ago, the game has remained in hiding ever since, and with good reason – it evidently is being significantly retooled and will bear little resemblance to what’s been shown thus far, other than that you’ll be controlling superpowered secret agents.” – Nintendo Power

I’m guessing that the style looks more realistic now. It’ll be pretty interesting to see the reactions of gamers when new screenshots and video are shown considering it wasn’t exactly received very well when it was first unveiled. The game is scheduled for a 2009 release.

Even though No More Heroes is generally considered to be a great game for the hardcore, if there was one aspect that was criticized more than anything else, it was the game’s open world. Suda51 is fully aware with the issues of the open world, however, and is looking to make drastic changes in No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. “…We’ll once again manage to do what we want to do with realizing the open world, but expect big changes for No More Heroes 2’s open world.”

Also, while a release for No More Heroes 2 is well far off, Suda51 has discussed the possibilities of No More Heroes 3. “That’s something I don’t really think about — the future or the sequel. I’m just focusing on each title, so now I’m focusing on No More Heroes 2, and then we’re going to see later.”
