Earlier this week, details on the official Tetris Party website stated tournaments will begin this December. Prizes were unspecified at the time, but if new information that has been discovered is correct, free Wii points will be offered to winners of the tournaments. Take a look at this last portion of IGN’s Tetris Party review: “It all comes back to gameplay offering. Dozens of modes and variants, amazing local play, online world play, tournaments (for winning Wii points), leaderboards, and endless options.” If I’m reading correctly, and as you can see, it does indeed seem that Wii points will be the prize for winning tournaments in Tetris Party. Free Wii points would be a great incentive for players to participate online and it might even encourage some Wii owners to purchase the game.

“Online co-op is unfortunately, not in the plans. That said, there’s lots of good things happening to Spyborgs that you’ll start to see in a few months.” – Christian Svensson,Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development

Mr. Svensson had stated awhile back that Spyborgs would have local co-op included. However, the game is going through some dramatic changes as far as we know. Thus, all multiplayer ideas might be scrapped for the final product.

Glendale, CA – Oct 21, 2008 – Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a UTV Enterprise, a worldwide publisher and developer of videogames, in conjunction with AQ Interactive is pleased to announce the release of Boing! Docomodake for Nintendo DS.™ Based on the mascot of the leading Japanese mobile phone company, NTT DOCOMO, INC., Boing! Shrooming across North America in March 2009 at an affordable suggested retail price of $19.99, Boing! Docomodake is a fun and interactive game, sure to entertain gamers of all ages.

Set on the day of the annual festival held in the Docomodake Forest, the Docomodake family is nowhere to be seen! Gamers play as Papa Docomodake and guide him through various obstacles and challenges in order to find his family and get them to the festival on time. Papa Docomodake has a trick or two to help him on his quest. With a tap of the stylus he can release ‘Minis’ that aid him when the going gets a little tough. Remember, Minis make the impossible possible!

If recent ratings by the USK are to be believed, Broken Sword titles for the Wii and DS could be releasing in the future. The ratings have been filed by Ubisoft under both Nintendo systems, but we’ll have to wait and see if the rumor is more than wishful thinking.

Britain really loves Sonic, apparently. A few hundred people living in the UK area were polled and asked what their favorite video game character is.
