Super Mario Bros. player “Blubber” has managed to set a new world record for completing the game. The speedrunner’s time comes in at an incredible 4:57.69. Previously, the record was set at 4:58:09.

Much of FAST Racing Neo is still shrouded in mystery, but developer Shin’en did recently share one tidbit about the game on Twitter. The studio said that its racer will run at 60 frames per second – something that should definitely make FAST look smooth on Wii U.

Shigeru Miyamoto is confirmed to be appearing at the 2014 Japan Expo next week in Paris.

Miyamoto will be attending the event on Friday, July 4. Those who show up that day will be treated to “an exceptional masterclass, from 2.45 pm to 4.15 pm on the video game stage.”
