Rodea: The Sky Soldier introduces the “R series” and more
People living in Garuda
Aside from the R series, Famitsu shares quite a bit of information about the residents of Garuda.
Ion, who we’ve mentioned previously, lives with her grandfather Ojimof. She has liked robots since she was a child, and believes each of them has a heart.
Ojimof is Ion’s grandfather. He dated Ion’s grandmother in an arena and in a volcano.
Novio has a nature of being worried and secretly gives his heart to Sonya. He tends to hang out with Pedro often.
Pedro thought that Rodea was suspicious, but ends up changing his mind. Famitsu says he is spirited and the life of the party.
Sonya is a mysteries girl with a gentle heart. She’s the sister of Tonio. Because Sonya has a weak body, she always has medical herbs at hand.
Tonio is Sonya’s brother. According to Famitsu, she’s a bit of a coward and a crybaby.
Boss: Berhems
Berhems is a huge dragon guardian of a desert. Berhems moves freely in the air and in sand, releases poisonous gas when on the verge of death, and hides its body in sand.
When it becomes angry and reckless, Berhems rushes towards Rodea with an open mouth. A core in its mouth is a weak point. Berhems moves quickly, so predicting its movements is a shortcut to victory. Players are advised to watch out for a giant missile unleashed from its mouth.
That’s all for this update on Rodea: The Sky Soldier. The game launches on April 2 in Japan, and this fall in North America/Europe.
