The Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer happening. In a blog post today, 2K and Firaxis shared the news.

It’s unclear what happened. The blog merely states: “Note that a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned.”

LEGO 2K Drive physical download code

LEGO 2K Drive is seeing a retail release on Switch, but probably not in the way that most would have hoped. Rather than including an actual physical cartridge, it looks like 2K Games is opting to simply including a download code.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen something like this, and it definitely won’t be the last. However, given that LEGO 2K Drive is a fairly significant game release, it’s somewhat of a surprise. Not everyone will care – especially if you were planning on going digital in the first place – but it’s still worth bringing up.

LEGO 2K Drive announcement

Here’s the press release in full:

LEGO 2K Drive

2K, Visual Concepts, and the LEGO Group have announced LEGO 2K Drive, a “AAA driving adventure game”. It will be available for Switch on May 19, 2023.

LEGO 2K Drive will feature an open world with single and multiplayer support plus the ability to create vehicles. There’ll be different biomes, races, minigames, challenges, collectibles, things to destroy, and a story. The customization system has over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces, but there’ll be standard cars to use from LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions, and even the McLaren Solus GT, and F1 LM. Co-op will be supported, in addition to competitive multiplayer with up to six players – not to mention two-player split-screen.

Marvel's Midnight Suns Hulk

Marvel’s Midnight Suns has received its latest character trailer with a look at Hulk. Players can learn how to control his amazing power and rage with the in-depth look featuring Christopher Odd.

Here’s some information about the game:

Borderlands 3 could potentially be coming to Switch very soon, as indicated by it receiving a number of different ratings through PEGI’s official site. Beyond just a rating for the main game of Borderlands 3, there are also individual ratings for all of its DLC content, including its Director’s Cut, Designer’s Cut, and Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot.

Borderlands 3 originally released in 2019, appearing on most modern platforms at the time. Given that all three previous main Borderlands titles as well as both Tales from the Borderlands games have all appeared on Switch, it’s not too surprising that Borderlands 3 might eventually make its way to the system in some form.

Marvel's Midnight Suns combat

2K and Firaxis are back with another trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, this time putting the spotlight on the game’s combat.

Firaxis is known for its turn-based tactics experience having made a couple of XCOM games, and brings that to the table here as well. Marvel’s Midnight Suns features a customizable card-based battle system. Once again, things play out in tactical turn-based fashion.
