Breakout Beyond

Today, Atari unveiled Breakout Beyond in partnership with developer Choice Provisions, the developer behind the Bit.Trip series. It’s due on Nintendo Switch out later in 2025.

Breakout Beyond is a new reimagining of the series that invites players to break on through to the other side. The game features a whole new sideways perspective, 72 levels, and support for two-player co-op.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic touch screen controls update

Atari just announced a new touch screen update for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic.

Players can now quickly access and adjust menus, place pathways and scenery, and construct roller coasters with this new option. There’s more to the patch as well. The team also added in the ability to modify cursor speeds and other visualization settings, as well as expanded tutorials to help new players adapt from mouse and keyboard to gamepad controls.

Accolade Sports Collection release date

January 19: The previously-announced Accolade Sports Collection has a release date. According to an eShop listing. it launches on January 30, 2025.

Accolade Sports Collection is a part of the QUByte Classics line. Five different games are included in the package.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic physical

Atari shared the news today that it will produce a physical release for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on Nintendo Switch. It will be available on April 25, 2025.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic just launched digitally earlier in the month. This one combines the best features from two of the original games in the series: RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.

Today, Atari announced that it’s putting RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on Nintendo Switch. The game will be available on December 5, 2024.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic combines the best features from two of the original games in the series, RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Players will be able to once again design and build roller coasters and rides.

Atari 50 The First Console War DLC

Atari and Digital Eclipse are shipping The First Console War DLC for Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration next week, the two companies announced today. It will be available on November 8, in concert with the physical release of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition.

The DLC brings along 19 additional playable games and eight video segments that tell the story of Atari’s first major rivalry in the console market. Players can look forward to a deep dive into the video game console market’s landscape of the era, which covers how and why Mattel made the decision to create games for its biggest competitor. Video interviews with M Network programmer Jane Terjung, video game historians Leonard Hermand and Mike Mika, and more are included.

Accolade Sports Collection

The QUByte Classics line is expanding with a new release, as Accolade Sports Collection was unveiled for Switch today. It’s being developed in partnership with Atari.

Accolade Sports Collection features five games from the early 90s. The package includes Summer Challenge, Winter Challenge, Hardball 1&2, and Hoops Shut Up and Jam. Players will be able to easily select from the different titles available, and there’ll be support for save states, filters options, manuals, and more.

Atari 50 Anniversary Celebration The Wider World of Atari DLC

New details were shared today about The Wider World of Atari DLC for Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. It’ll be ready to go on September 26, 2024.

The Wider World of Atari brings along 19 playable games and eight video segments. YouTuber MetalJesusRocks will share the full lineup of titles on September 25 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.
