Mushihimesama delisted Switch

You only have a month to pick up the Switch version of Mushihimesama, as the game is about to be delisted. Live Wire announced the news today and says it will be pulling the eShop release on August 10, 2024. The company’s licensing agreement with Cave Interactive is expriring, which is why the delisting is taking place.

Note that the move only applies to new purchases. If you bought the game previously, you’ll always be able to access it from your library. The physical release from Limited Run Games will also be unaffected.

DoDonPachi Resurrection Collector's Edition

Limited Run Games announced a physical release of DoDonPachi Resurrection on Switch in June, but didn’t share any details. Today, however, the company has followed up with specifics.

DoDonPachi Resurrection will be sold in three different versions: standalone, the Steelbook Edition, and Collector’s Edition. Each copy of the Collector’s Edition includes the game, slipcover, steelbook, chiptune arrangement album, and a 18″ x 24″ poster.

Akai Katana Shin

Original (8/18): City Connection, in partnership with Cave, has announced that Akai Katana Shin is appearing on Switch on December 15, 2022. English, Japanese, French, and Spanish language options are planned.

Those in Japan will be able to pick up the standard digital edition for 3,410 yen or standard physical edition for 4,400 yen. Also planned is a physical special edition will for 6,600 yen, featuring the Akai Katana Daisuke Matsumoto Arrange soundtrack CD and an instruction card-style acrylic panel.

Espgaluda II physical collector's edition

Limited Run Games announced a physical release of Espgaluda II on Switch last month, but has now followed up with more details.

Fans will be able to choose between a standard version, steelbook edition, and collector’s edition. The collector’s edition is the big one with a copy of the game, soundtrack, poster, and steelbook in a premium collector’s box.

Limited Run Games is planning a physical version of Espgaluda II on Switch, the company has confirmed.

The shoot ’em up title has been on the system since last September. Thus far though, it’s only been sold in digital format.

DoDonPachi Resurrection physical

DoDonPachi Resurrection will have a new physical version on Switch, Limited Run Games announced today. It will be available later this year.

DoDonPachi Resurrection

DoDonPachi Resurrection is making its way to Switch, Live Wire has announced. The shoot ’em up game will be available on November 25.

DoDonPachi Resurrection is the third Cave title that Live Wire has put on Switch. Mushihimesama made it to the system in June, followed by Espgaluda II in September.

Mushihimesama physical

Following its previous digital debut on Switch, Mushihimesama is now getting the physical treatment. Limited Run Games will be in charge of distribution.

Mushihimesama will have both a standard release and collector’s edition. If you’re interested in the latter version, in addition to the game, you’ll receive a steelbook case, a Kiniro keychain, and a collectible chirashi.

Live Wire and Cave brought Mushihimesama to Switch back in June. Next month, the companies will be following up with another shoot ’em up game.

Espgaluda II is planned for a September 9 release on Switch, it’s been revealed. Much like Mushihimesama, it will be offered through the eShop.

Espgaluda II first debuted in arcades back in 2005, and the title has appeared on a few different platforms since then. We’ve included a trailer for the decade-old Xbox 360 version below.
