Another round of Wii U and 3DS maintenance is scheduled for tonight / tomorrow. It’ll begin later this evening in North America, and very early tomorrow in Europe. Certain network services such as online play, rankings, etc. will be affected.

The maintenance schedule is as follows:

– 8:30 PM PT (November 9) – 10:30 PM PT (November 9)
– 11:30 PM ET (November 9) – 1:30 AM ET (November 10)
– 4:30 AM in the UK (November 10) – 6:30 AM in the UK (November 10)
– 5:30 AM in Europe (November 10) – 7:30 AM in Europe (November 10)

Miitomo has been updated with new content once again. Players can nab some new items in the latest Miitomo Drop stage, “Go for a hat trick! Soccer Style #2”.

Available items include:

– Soccer ball hood
– Soccer referee uniform
– Goalkeeper uniform
– Soccer fan tee

Along with the new Miitomo Drop stage, Nintendo has sent word about maintenance taking place this coming week. The app will be impacted for about six hours on November 9 to prepare for the big update. Once it’s finished, the update will go live.

Maintenance should be taking place at the following times:

– 12 PM PT (November 9) – 6 PM PT (November 9)
– 3 PM ET (November 9) – 9 PM ET (November 9)
– 8 PM in the UK (November 9) – 2 AM in the UK (November 10)
– 9 PM in Europe (November 9) – 3 AM in Europe (November 10)

Nintendo has scheduled new maintenance for Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo taking place next week. There should be downtime of roughly 90 minutes.

Splatoon is the latest game to have been added to Nintendo’s maintenance schedule for next week. The shooter’s online services will be impacted for roughly 90 minutes on Monday (Tuesday in Europe).

All of Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s online services will undergo maintenance early next week. Here are the exact times:

  • 6 PM PT (October 31st) – 8 PM PT (October 31st)
  • 9 PM ET (October 31st) – 11 PM ET (October 31st)
  • 2 AM in the UK (November 1st) – 4 AM in the UK (November 1st)
  • 3 AM in Europe (November 1st) – 5 AM in Europe November 1st

Given that next week, a special Animal Crossing-focused Nintendo Direct will air on November 2nd, it seems likely that this maintenance is to prepare for the big update that was announced earlier this year, which, among other things, will add amiibo support to New Leaf. The update will probably go live after the Direct.
