Futuridium EP Deluxe coming soon to Wii U and New 3DS
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, New Nintendo 3DS, News, Wii U eShop | 2 Comments
One announcement that went under the radar during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct is Futuridium EP Deluxe for Nintendo platforms. Yesterday, MixedBag revealed that Futuridium EP Deluxe is coming to both Wii U and New 3DS. This shoot’em up was originally released in 2014.
Here’s an overview of Futuridium EP Deluxe:
Futuridium EP Deluxe is a psychedelic retro inspired shoot’em up with a modern twist, that blends together frantic action, puzzle elements, a vibrant low poly aesthetic and an heart pumping electronic soundtrack. As a lone starship pilot lost in a dimensional loop just before a big space battle, with a limited and constantly depleting energy tank, your only hope is to fly as fast as possible over enormous space dreadnoughts, destroying their defenses and the cyan power cubes to get some energy back.
Try to escape the infinite loop of Futuridium: you can count only on your reflexes, your dual lasers, the nimbleness of your starship and… the ability to turn 180° on the spot! Can you beat all the 50 levels, the 5 bosses, unlock all the extra game modes and collect the 150 medals?
Good luck! You’ll need it…
Futuridium EP Deluxe will be out “soon” on Nintendo’s systems. Both versions run at 60 frames per second, and the New 3DS version will offer 3D support.

forma.8 has received a visual and technical overhaul
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 1 Comment
MixedBag Games originally hoped to have forma.8 out last year. That didn’t happen, but the extra development time has been used wisely. MixedBag managed to give forma.8 a visual and technical overhaul over the past few months.
According to MixedBag, the team “decided to raise the bar and boost the game in every aspect, changing our technology (boring stuff) and redesigning all the backgrounds, effects and creatures from scratch (fun stuff!).” The game’s progress will be shown at GDC 2015 next week.
Our gallery below contains some screenshots showing forma.8’s change. Head on over here for MixedBag’s full blog.

MixedBag Games will apparently be involved with the latest Nintendo Direct in some fashion. The studio posted a cryptic teaser message on Twitter earlier today, stating that there will be “something” shown during today’s presentation from the studio.
Pumped up for the Nintendo Direct later today! There’ll be something from us in there… 😉 #WiiU #NintendoDirectNA

Chances are that Nintendo will be highlighting indies during today’s Nintendo Direct (video reel of some sort?). MixedBag could be showing forma.8, which is in development for Wii U.

MixedBag announces “forma.8”, planned for Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 2 Comments
After teasing a new title for Wii U earlier this week, MixedBag has announced “forma.8”. The title is slated for the eShop as well as the PS4, PS Vita, PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS.
forma.8 is a Metroidvania-inspired project set in a distant future. Players will float and explore their way through an alien planet without any sort of direction – everything is conveyed through images and sounds – as they attempt to locate and recover a powerful energy source deep under the surface before it’s too late.
MixedBag says forma.8 is the first Italian-made game announced for a next generation console. It’s also being worked on by just two people.
forma.8 will be shown at EGX Rezzed 2014 in the Leftfield Collection at the end of March.
You’ll find a trailer for the game above. An official announcement with more details is below.
