And today’s live stream event:

It didn’t take long for Mortal Kombat 11 to reveal its next character. Just shortly after the announcement of Kabal, we now know that D’Vorah will also be included.

Thus far we haven’t really seen much of D’Vorah in Mortal Kombat 11. When we have her character trailer, we’ll share it on the site.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have pulled back the curtain on another character for Mortal Kombat 11. Kabal has joined the roster, and we have his trailer below. The character first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3.

Other playable characters in Mortal Kombat 11 include Baraka, Geras, Kano, Kabal, Raiden, Scorpion, Shao Kahn, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, and Sub-Zero.

Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23. If you’re in Europe, however, that might be a different story.

There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding Mortal Kombat 11’s Switch launch in Europe. We’ve been trying to hold off on posting about it until Warner Bros. comments on the situation, but thus far, they haven’t done so. In the meantime, a number of retailers have come forward listing a May 10 release date – including the Nintendo UK store. The Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 is still on track for April 23 in the states, though for whatever reason, that doesn’t appear to be the case for PAL regions.

Pre-orders are open for Mortal Kombat 11 on the Nintendo UK store here. Bundles with Pixel Pals Lamps are also available.

Mortal Kombat 11 might be one of the more surprising third-party Switch announcements in recent memory. The series has been absent on Nintendo platforms for well over a decade, as Armageddon came to Wii back in 2007.

Mortal Kombat 11 producer Trevor Traub was recently asked about the Switch version, to which he stated:

Mortal Kombat is known for its fatalities, but another significant aspect is the roster. Only a few characters have been confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11 thus far, but we should be learning more about who’s in leading up to the late April launch.

NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon spoke with Game Informer yesterday regarding the approach to the roster. While there will be new faces, fans can look forward to returning veterans as well. Boon acknowledged that Mortal Kombat X players “were pissed when Baraka wasn’t in”.

Earlier today, Mortal Kombat 11 was given a full-blown reveal with trailers, the latest details, and more. If you missed any of the action, you can watch the entire recording below – including a ton of gameplay.
