PQube

After announcing the titles would be coming to Switch in early 2024, ACQUIRE has now provided a release date for Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition, the remastered collection of the two dungeon-crawling RPGs. The titles will be available physically and digitally at the end of this month on April 26.

Potion Permit update 1.0.12

A new version 1.0.12 was just made available for Potion Permit.

There are a few new things here, including additional romanceable characters (Lucke and Runeheart), a cinematic opening animation, and further language support. A ton of bugs have been fixed as well.

Bustafellows sales

PQube and Nippon Cultural Broadcasting announced a new sales milestone for Bustafellows today. Since launch, the title has sold over 100,000 copies.

Bustafellows is a visual novel from eXtend that first came to Japan in December 2019. PQube published an English version in July 2021.

I*Chu: Chibi Edition

PQube has announced I*Chu: Chibi Edition for English release on Switch in the west. This is another game from the publisher that will be localized for fans outside of Japan.

I*Chu: Chibi Edition is a rhythm action idol adventure game that first came to Japan in November 2022. Learn more about it in the following overview:

SINce Memories Off The Starry Sky

PQube is localizing SINce Memories: Off The Starry Sky for Switch in the west, the company announced today. A release window was not provided.

SINce Memories: Off The Starry Sky is a romance visual novel from Mages. The initial launch took place in 2021, but only in Japan.

B-Project Ryuusei Fantasia

Following an original 2021 debut in Japan, B-Project Ryuusei Fantasia is now set for worldwide release on Switch. PQube is handling localization and it will be available “soon”.

B-Project Ryuusei Fantasia is a visual novel in which players will support a group of 14 idols from their humble beginnings through to stardom as their representative.

Konosuba God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire! launch trailer

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire! has finally come to Switch in the west, and a new trailer celebrates the launch. The comedy visual novel has arrived in both North America and Europe.

Developer TrickJump Games and publisher PQube have announced that a Switch version of ArcRunner will be releasing alongside other console versions on April 18. The game is a cyberpunk roguelite shooter in which the player will seek to reset a rogue AI that has turned evil by fighting their way through zones utilizing cybernetic firearms and various augments which can be upgraded with nanites gained along the way.

Konosuba God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire! release date

Thanks to PQube and Mages, we have a release date for Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire! in the west. Fans in North America and Europe can get their hands on it starting February 8, 2024.

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire!, a visual novel, initially received confirmation for the west last July. PQube did not provide a release window at the time.

It feels like racing games are often excused from needing to tell stories; even as players, we’ve been trained to expect little more from the genre than schlocky tales of midnight street racing, if there’s even any context to the action at all. That can be just fine as many players only care about the feel of the driving, but there’s so much potential for fresh ideas. That’s why I’m curious about Resistor, an upcoming racing RPG whose lead developer, Violet McVinnie, previously worked on cinematics and narrative for titles like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. There’s a lot of potential for Resistor to be something unique, and while my brief demo only let me preview a small slice of the game, I’m hopeful it will prove that racing games can indeed tell deeper stories than they typically do.
