The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

New data gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of June 2024.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was Nintendo’s main new Switch game of the month, and that one managed to top the chart with nearly 90,000 copies sold. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was also a new release for the system, and it comes in at #3 with a little over 40,000 units sold.

UK sales for June 2024

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for June 2024.

While it missed out on the top ten, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD did appear at #14. It’s possible that the game could have charted higher, but since Nintendo doesn’t share digital data, its placement is only based on physical sales. EA Sports FC 24 was the overall top seller for the month.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending July 6, 2024 is now available.

After appearing in the top slot last week, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD falls just slightly to #3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe never wants to leave and remains at #5. As for the top seller this week, that honor goes to EA Sports FC 24.

Paper Mario Thousand Year Door

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of May 2024 specifically on Switch.

As we already reported, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was #2 across all platforms – that means it’s #1 just on Nintendo’s console. Princess Peach: Showtime is still somewhat new and is at #3.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of May 2024.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door made its debut and came out swinging. During its first month, the Switch exclusive landed at #2 – and that’s without digital data factored in. We don’t have exact data, but that positioning indicates a strong start.

Okami development team sales

In a recent video, Okami director Hideki Kamiya and environment artist Ikumi Nakamura. The two spoke about various topics, including the team behind the game and the initial poor sales.

According to Kamiya, Okami was intended to feature “a dream team” of developers. However, he actually believes that the group was ultimately “weak”, before adding how there “was a very drastic contrast within.”

In an announcement today, Bandai Namco provided the latest sales information about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The game has sold over eight million copies since launch. That goes for all platforms combined worldwide.
