Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for May 2024.
There’s some good news here for Nintendo as Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door manages to crack the top ten – and that’s without digital data being reported. Elsewhere we see some of the usual games like EA Sports FC 24 and Hogwarts Legacy make the list.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending June 8, 2024 is now available.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door slips a spot, but is still in the top three. Hogwarts Legacy remains at the very top, followed by EA Sports FC 24.

Japan’s best-selling games of May 2024

New data gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of May 2024.
Nintendo put out two new games during the month, and both are in the top three. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door comes in first with over 100,000 physical copies sold. Endless Ocean Luminous also makes the list at #3 with a little over 40,000 units.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door seems to be holding on strong. After debuting at #1 last week, it only slipped one spot. Hogwarts Legacy managed to regain the top spot.

Nintendo shared new data today revealing the top 20 best-selling games on the Japanese Switch eShop for May 2024.
Two new releases from the company enter the top five. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which came out pretty late in the month, manages to shoot all the way up to #1. Endless Ocean Luminous also appears at #4.

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of April 2024 specifically on Switch.
Princess Peach: Showtime comes out as the top seller for a second straight month. Hogwarts Legacy is the only non-Nintendo title on the list – unless you count Minecraft, though the Big N has some involvement there on Switch as well.
