After a few weeks since it’s initial reveal, SEGA has come out with more details on the fighting game Blade Arcus Rebellion from Shining — specifically focusing on characters Yuma Ilvern and Kirika Alma Towa.

Following its reveal out of the latest Famitsu last night, new details on Blade Arcus Rebellion, a fighting game for the popular Shining series, have surfaced online.

Specifically, six of the popular characters from Shining Resonance Refrain that were teased to be in the game have now been confirmed. The characters have been listed below.

Preview images for the latest issue of Famitsu magazine have appeared online and they reveal that a fighting game in the Shining series is in the works for Nintendo Switch. Called Blade Arcus Rebellion, the game will feature characters from Shining Resonance Refrain and other Shining games. An online versus mode is also included. The game will launch in Japan on March 14th, 2019. We should have more information once we get our hands on the full issue of Famitsu tomorrow.

Update: We report with great disappointment that the game is a fighter for arcades. It definitely seemed like a Nintendo Direct announcement was coming, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Original: A new Shining game is set to be announced by day’s end, and it sounds like a reveal could be taking place during tonight’s Nintendo Direct.

On Twitter, producer Tsuyoshi Sawada teased that “a little announcement” will be made tomorrow morning. Sawada confirmed that it’s not an RPG, but didn’t give any additional details.

Today’s Nintendo Direct will be taking place at 5 PM ET, which is actually 7 AM tomorrow in Japan. You know what that means…
