Super Mario Run hosting Friendly Run event

Super Mario Run players can participate in a new Friendly Run event. Each time you give it a try, you’ll earn Rally Tickets regardless of whether you win or lose.

The number of times you can play each day is based on the progress made in World Tour:

– Haven’t cleared World 1: one time
– World 1 cleared: three times
– World 2 cleared: five times

The Friendly Run event will be available until June 1.

Super Mario Run downloaded over 50 million times on Android

At the end of March, Super Mario Run was sitting between 10 million and 50 million downloads on Android. The game has climbed up since then, as it’s now between 50 million and 100 million downloads, according to the Google Play store. We don’t have a specific number, but Android users continue to download the game.

Super Mario Run players unlock all statues from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Release Event

Beginning last week, Nintendo has been holding a special Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Release Event in Super Mario Run. Players have been tasked with playing Toad Rally a certain number of times in order to unlock special statues.

The deadline was May 11, yet all goals have been reached several days in advance. The full lineup of rewards are as follows:

– 10 million plays: Banana Statue
– 20 million plays: Banana Statue
– 30 million plays: Blooper Statue
– 40 million plays: Mario Kart Statue
– 50 million plays: Switch Statue

Nintendo will be distributing theses rewards beginning on May 12.

Fire Emblem Heroes downloads less than a tenth of Super Mario Run, but seeing more revenue

Super Mario Run has been downloaded nearly 150 million times. Fire Emblem Heroes’ downloads are less than a tenth of that, but the two games have an inverse relationship with revenue. According to Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima, Fire Emblem Heroes is earning more revenue than Super Mario Run.

Super Mario Run nearly at 150 million downloads

Super Mario Run has been downloaded almost 150 million times, Nintendo has confirmed. That number applies to downloads across iOS and Android.

Super Mario Run accumulated 78 million downloads by the end of January. The game launched on Android last month, so that likely gave it a shot in the arm.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe event begins in Super Mario Run on Friday

Super Mario Run will be celebrating the launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe later this week. On Friday, Nintendo will be hosting a special event. Users will find that certain deluxe buildings and decorations will be handed out as in-game gifts depending on how many times all players worldwide play Toad Rally.

Once again, the event begins on April 28. It’ll last until May 11.

A notable update for Super Mario Run is now live. Players on iOS and Android can download version 2.1.0.

In today’s update, Nintendo has added new buildings such as the 8-bit Bowser Statue. Game Center / Google Play achievements are in as well. Other additions include the ability to show your customized Mii character from Miitomo and finding friends with a Nintendo Account.
