Bomb Rush Cyberfunk dev on the future of the franchise

Following the success of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Team Reptile appears to be keen on working further on the franchise with more games.
The studio briefly touched on the future in a recent issue of EDGE. Co-founder Tim Remmers indicated that the team is interested in further ‘Cyberfunk’ games, and while it’s unclear what’s coming next, he mentioned a scrapped rhythm game that could be brought back in some form.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk update out now, patch notes

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk received a new update this week, and the full patch notes are available.
The main attraction here is an improved pause menu map that now shows Taxi Signs, Cypher Spots and Public Toilets. While toilets will be immediately visible, players will need to find the Taxi and Cypher spots first. Also included is a counter for how much stuff is still needed to collect in the current stage – outfits, skateboards, music or graffiti.

iam8bit, distribution partner Skybound Games, and Team Reptile announced today that a physical version of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is in the works for Switch.
The retail edition includes the standard region-free cartridge with worldwide compatibility, six die-cut vinyl graffiti stickers, and cover art from Tan Zhi Hui. There are also plans for an iam8bit Exclusive Edition that contains a graffiti art booklet showcasing art from the game, a collectible slipcase, exclusive cover art by Tan Zhi Hui, and six die-cut vinyl graffiti stickers.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk patch 1 coming soon

A new update has been announced for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Simply titled “Patch 1” this brings a variety of additions to the game, including a new minigame for your Flip Phone, Micro Boy. The usual bug fixes are also included.

Jet Set Radio is one of SEGA’s classic Dreamcast games – its combination of fast-paced rollerblading, urban vandalism and high-energy hip-hop have remained unique in the decades since the original release. Well, if SEGA were to make a Jet Set Radio game in 2023, it would probably look a lot like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk – the developers at Team Reptile have taken everything you loved from the titles that inspired it, revamped it all with modern controls, and repackaged it with some incredible music and a high-energy cast of characters. This is the game Jet Set Radio fans have been waiting for – and for everyone else, it’s one of the most creative, exciting skating games released in decades.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk release date set for August

Original (4/19): Today’s Indie World Showcase provided a final release date for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. We now know that the game will be ready to go on August 18, 2023.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk was originally targeting a 2022 debut. However, Team Reptile ended up moving the title to Summer 2023 to guarantee “a fulfilling and unique game”.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk delayed to Summer 2023

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk has been delayed, with Team Reptile just announcing that it’s pushing the project back to Summer 2023.
The game was first confirmed for Switch last August. Team Reptile was originally intending to have it wrapped up this year and launch it as a timed console exclusive. However, extra time will be used to make ” a fulfilling and unique game”.

Team Reptile is back with a new “Movestyle” teaser trailer for the graffiti-action-adventure game Bomb Rush Cyberfunk which gives fans another look, including the confirmation of skateboarding and BMX alongside inline skating.
