New DLC for Sonic Lost World is here and it’s legendary! Available now to download for free in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, Sonic will speed across the land adorned in Link’s iconic green tunic, as the Hero of Time himself flies on the back of his Loftwing from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Players are able to use Black Bomb Color Powers to uncover secret rooms, find hidden chests and gain exciting rewards.

Ubisoft Game Sale – Spring is here. To celebrate, Ubisoft is having a limited-time sale on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games in the Nintendo eShop. Two more Virtual Console titles appear to be slated for North America. According to listings on Nintendo’s website, Dr. Mario (Wii U) and Clu Clu Land (3DS) will be available starting tomorrow. Neither title has been officially announced just yet, but we should be given a definitive confirmation when the Nintendo Download report hits.

GBA Wii U VC games don’t support multiplayer

This may have been a bit expected, but now we have an official confirmation: Game Boy Advance titles on Wii U will not support multiplayer. The news comes straight from Nintendo, who have labeled all of the upcoming GBA games for Japan as single-player only. I imagine it would have been tough to pull off multiplayer since we’re talking about a console as opposed to a handheld, though some may find this disappointing in any case.

I wanted to make a separate mention of this, as I know that several of you have been anticipating Super Mario Bros. 3’s Virtual Console release. Yup – the game is finally coming to the states.
Today’s GBA Wii U VC lineup announcement finally confirms that Super Mario Bros. 3 is launching in North America on April 17 for both Wii U and 3DS. It’ll be available for $4.99.

Following the announcements made in Japan and Europe, Nintendo has shared details pertaining to the GBA Wii U Virtual Console for North America.
Three titles will be available when the service begins next week: Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Metroid Fusion. More titles will follow throughout the month. Nintendo’s announcement reveals that GBA titles are priced at $6.99 and $7.99.

European GBA Wii U VC lineup for April – pricing, trailer

26th March, 2014 – Back in 2001, Nintendo delivered the next generation of portable entertainment in the shape of Game Boy Advance, a 32-bit handheld console with an intuitive design and a host of memorable titles. To celebrate some of the classic gaming moments delivered by this handheld gem, Nintendo will begin releasing Game Boy Advance titles on Nintendo eShop for Wii U Virtual Console starting next week, allowing fans and newcomers alike to enjoy some of gaming’s greatest highlights on the living room TV or o n their Wii U GamePad. In addition, Restore Points that save progress during gameplay and Miiverse connectivity both offer new features when enjoying these classic games.
A selection of GBA titles will be coming to Wii U from 3rd April, with a few of gaming’s most renowned characters kicking off the roster.

Donkey Kong Land hitting the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console next week

One new game has been confirmed for the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console. Donkey Kong Land will be out on April 2. Pricing is set at 411 yen.

GBA Wii U VC launches in Japan next week – pricing revealed, discount available

Just in case you had any doubts with all of today’s Japanese trailers, the Game Boy Advance Virtual Console will officially be launching for Wii U next week. Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World, WarioWare Inc., Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Golden Sun, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, and Advance Wars 1 + 2 will all be available.
Pricing is set at 702 yen for each GBA title. If you buy two, you’ll get the second game for 30 percent off.
