New Splatoon Update – On Aug. 5, a free software update for the Splatoon game on the Wii U console brings new content to the game, including two new matchmaking modes, new weapon types, an increase to the game’s level caps and more than 40 pieces of new gear. Following this update, more content will continually roll out through the rest of the summer and fall, including the Rainmaker Ranked Battle mode, additional maps and new weapons. Yesterday, Nintendo teased three classic games for release on the Wii U eShop this week. Those titles have since been revealed.

Listings on the ESRB indicate that Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards are coming to the North American Wii U eShop. Each one should be available starting tomorrow.

Three classic Kirby games are coming to the North American Wii U eShop this week. Nintendo won’t say which ones they are yet, but each one is being released in celebration of the character’s birthday.

Nintendo sent out the following tweet just a few minutes ago:

We could be hearing about the names of these titles tomorrow, if previous leaks are anything to go by. If that doesn’t happen, we’ll know on Thursday morning at the latest!

Nintendo’s website is listing DK Jungle Climber for release on the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow. It will be available for $9.99.

Here’s an official overview:

King K. Rool is up to no good again, and it’s up to Donkey Kong to swing into action. Using a simple control scheme that makes the game fun and easy to play, players of all skill levels can swing and climb to new heights.

Donkey Kong and his friends decide to take a well-earned vacation at the beautiful Sun Sun Island. After enjoying a splash in the ocean, a hungry Donkey Kong and his friends see a massive banana floating atop a mountain. Without hesitation, they race off for the mountaintop, wondering what kind of adventure they’ll find! Play as Donkey Kong, or choose to play as Diddy Kong in Adventure mode. Players can look forward to new moves, new items, and a bunch of mini-games that are sure to make them go bananas!

Previously, DK Jungle Climber launched on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console on July 8. The game has yet to come to the European eShop.
