Seems very fair and unbiased, which is something that’s rare these days! I’m happy with those results!

This is just opinion, but Majora’s Mask OWNS Ocarina of Time… They should be reversed…

  • Hinscher

Only dislike is The Last of Us.
It may be worthy in a couple years, but I feel games need to be at least a few years old before being considered. Too many times you see a best games of all time with half the games new games and looking at list in a couple years its almost a joke how some of those games got listed.
Again Last of Us probably will be and I have nothing against it, just feel ALL “game of all times” list need a time span requirement. Like min 2-3 years since release or something

      Well said.

Similarly with “Game of the Year” lists, it seems the latest big hit to come out is always making it, while the titles that got delayed into Fall are forgotten about despite often being vastly superior.

    Yeh that’s an epic list.
Nice mix of Japanese and Western games 🙂 1 and 2 are as they should be.

By the way, how is it on “Wii U Daily”? Is “Magnus Eriksson” and “Daniel Gonzalez” still spreading their hateful ignorance against “Nintendo Co., Ltd”?

    • By the way, I have a website on “Tumblr”.

Would you prefer to visit it and post a comment?

Call me a dope, but I just have to say this. I think overall this is a respectable list with some good selections. However, Resident Evil 4 is WAY too high. I loved Res. Evil 4, by far the best of the series. It was a great surprise when it was released with everyone expecting a “same old same old” survival horror game like the previous three. But to put it above the likes of Bioshock, Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid, CHRONO TRIGGER, is just plain ridiculous in my humble opinion.

Pretty good list. I think Chrono Trigger should be higher than Final Fantasy VII and Halo should be towards the end of the list.

    “7 – Goldeneye
    6 – Halo”

One can only LOL about this

  • eh

Majora’s Mask deserves to be higher, and I agree with Hinscher about newer games being ranked, but otherwise pretty good.

Good to see Dark Souls on there as well

Top 20 games in our life time? Whose life time? I am almost 30, and I read this website and other gaming sites on a daily basis. What about the NES, SNES, Genesis, etc? Maybe I’m too old.

The lifetime of current readers of Edge who chose to cast votes. Edge has quite a serious and probably mature readership, so it’s about as good a voted-on list as you’re going to get from a magazine audience. Ain’t Chrono Trigger SNES anyway?

Super Mario Bros 3 needs to be in there somewhere
