Switch update 15.0.1

Nintendo has just released a new 15.0.1 firmware update for all Switch systems. This follows version 15.0.0, which dropped earlier in the month.

Today’s update primarily targets two specific issues, including Error Code: 2181-1000 and a problem in which screenshots couldn’t be taken in certain scenes.

Switch controller update 15.0.0

Switch received its new 15.0.0 firmware update last night, and tying in with that, there’s a controller-specific update as well. Seemingly this is just for the Pro Controller – there does not appear to be anything new with the Joy-Con.

When Nintendo provides a controller update, it typically doesn’t say what it includes. However, those that have dug into version 15.0.0 have found that the Pro Controller Bluetooth firmware was updated.

Switch update 15.0.0

Nintendo is now offering the latest firmware update for Switch, version 15.0.0.

Despite being a main number change, this one seems relatively insignificant in nature. At the same time, there’s more here than simple stability improvements – though of course that’s also included.

3DS update 11.16.0-49

Another update has just gone live for 3DS systems, with Nintendo starting distribution of version 11.16.0-49 – and we have the official patch notes.

Nintendo says the following: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

3DS update 11.16.0-48

Nintendo has just released a new firmware update for all 3DS systems, with owners now having access to version 11.16.0-48. Unsurprisingly, there’s not a whole lot here.

Nintendo’s official patch notes state: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

Switch update 14.1.2

The latest Switch system update has just arrived, as Nintendo has just issued version 14.1.2. All Switch users can download it now.

Keeping in line with most firmware changes, today’s patch notes are on the milder side. Nintendo mentions: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.”

switch update 14.1.1

It’s time to update your Switch once again, as Nintendo has just started distribution of firmware version 14.1.1

As this is a minor update, the patch notes are pretty small. Nintendo only states: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.” Per usual, the Big N didn’t go into specifics.

Switch update 14.1.0

Nintendo has just released a new firmware update for Switch, version 14.1.0.

A number of other upgrades tend to focus on stability. In this case, it’s actually a bit different. Users will now find new “Platinum Points Notification Settings” in which they can be notified about unclaimed points as part of the My Nintendo rewards program.

The official patch notes for Switch firmware update version 14.1.0 are as follows:

switch controller update march 2022 14.0.0

Heads up for Switch owners: it’s now possible to update your controllers once again.

This comes as part of the 14.0.0 firmware that went live earlier this week. With some new system upgrades, Nintendo occasionally offers a new controller update as well.

switch update 14.0.0

Nintendo has just released a new 14.0.0 firmware update for Switch, and it’s rather significant. Users can finally use a “groups” feature to help organize their games on the home menu.

To create a new group, go all the way to the right and select “All Software”. You can then press the “L” button to start an actual group. You can sort through your content by last time played, play time, title, and publisher. After this, you can even arrange how the software will be displayed. The final step is simply creating a group name.

Other than the ability to create groups, today’s update also includes some changes for Bluetooth audio volume.
