The idea of a multiverse is nothing new, but it tends to be the domain of movies and TV series rather than video games, especially in recent times. Angry Mob Games’ title Trinity Fusion brings this concept to the roguelite genre in some interesting ways that make it a far more immersive experience than I was expecting, although it never capitalizes on its more unique premise to deliver a more memorable time. Despite this, for fans of the genre it is definitely worth a look-in.

Publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon have announced that they will be bringing Fate/EXTRA Record to Switch in 2025. The game is a remake of Fate/Extra, a dungeon-crawling RPG originally released on PSP. It was officially announced back in 2020, although this is the first confirmation we have had that it will be coming to Switch.

A PEGI rating has suggested that Marvelous Europe Limited may be bringing BattleBrew Productions’ roguelite dungeon-crawler Cuisineer to Switch in Europe. The title released on Steam last year, and this is the first indicator that we’ve had that it may be coming to Nintendo’s console. At the moment it has not been rated by the ESRB, although it is likely that XSEED Games would pick up the North American release in the event that it released on Switch.

Hamster will release VS. Valkyrie’s Adventure: Legend of the Key of Time as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for July 25, 2024.

An action RPG released by Namco in 1986, players control the titular Valkyrie as she travels across Marvel Land to collect the Key of Time and other items to defeat Zouna, who rules over the land.

The game will be sold digitally on the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.
