Renegade Kid has already said that Mutant Mudds’ extra PC content, known as the “Grannie” levels, should be heading to the 3DS soon. The studio has since wrapped up its work on the bonus levels for the 3DS version, and they could be out within four to six weeks.

Nintendo will now review and test the new content. Once that’s done, the Big N will determine when the update will be made available for 3DS owners.

Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham tweeted earlier today:

“All 60 Mutant Mudds levels tested/completed. Looks like this game is nearly ready for eShop prime-time! Nearly = 4 to 6 weeks btw. Mudds needs to go through Nintendo testing and then get in the queue for update/release.”

We’ve been covering Capcom’s stylish Lost Planet spin-off E.X. Troopers for quite some time now. Sadly, it looks like the game will be staying in Japan.

Writing on the company’s official forums about possible localization, Capcom’s Christian Svensson said:

“Guys, I have no news to share on that front right now. Sorry.”

In a different thread, Svensson noted that there aren’t “plans to bring it Westward at this time.”

F1 Race Stars has been rumored to be coming to Wii U for months. Even so, Codemasters still hasn’t made any sort of announcement.

The official F1 Race Stars Twitter account fielded a question yesterday regarding a possible Wii U version. It stated that there are “no current plans to release a Wii U version”, though Codemasters is “listening to fan feedback regarding formats.”

“We’ve got no current plans to release a Wii U version but we are listening to fan feedback regarding formats.”

F1 Race Stars is actually listed for Wii U on a couple of LinkedIn profiles. One QA localization technician and an ex-technical art supervisor both list the game for the console.

So what’s going on here? Was a Wii U version cancelled? Did these staffers mistakenly list a Wii U version? Or is Codemasters just waiting for the right time to make an announcement?

Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword was released on the Japanese eShop in late 2011 and on the North American store earlier this year. After many months of waiting, the game may finally be heading to Europe as well.

The OFLC has rated “Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword”. That sure sounds like Sakura Samurai! Aside from the small name change, it looks like the game will end up on the European/Australian eShops soon.

I actually thought this was pretty well-known, but it’s always nice to receive another confirmation. This should mean that you can use your old Wiimotes, without the MotionPlus, for some titles. I thought that was known for the most part as well – now there’s absolutely no reason to worry.

Thanks to John Robb for the tip.

A Monster Hunter game will be coming to North America. Apparently.

But Capcom still isn’t saying when exactly we’ll be receiving news, nor will they confirm which game will be localized.

Associate online and community specialist Yuri Araujo, addressing frustrations that a Monster Hunter title still hadn’t been announced for North America while Ace Attorney 5 was confirmed only a day after its initial announcement, stated:

“Guys, just because Ace Attorney is getting localized, it doesn’t mean we’ll be out of staff to work on Monster Hunter… that said, news are coming ‘soon-er’ than before … Different franchises have different schedules. So please don’t get mad that franchise X or Y is getting more games more often or only 4 months after announcement, or after Japan.”

Araujo later added:

“yes, I understand the frustration. But your request is simple enough: Yes, it’s been confirmed that we are getting a game. ‘What it is’ and ‘when we’ll know more’ are the parts I can’t share.”
