As you can see, the only upcoming Nintendo game from Take-Two is NBA 2K13, which is planned for Wii. Who knows – maybe the company has a few games they’ll be announcing for Wii U next month. Grand Theft Auto V would be sort of nice.

Shin’en hasn’t said anything about Jett Rocket: Super Surf since the game was announced. It’s now been made clear that it’ll contain platforming gameplay following the studio’s experimentation with different play styles.

In a new interview, Shin’en Multimedia Manfred Lizner said that the company realized “that a new Jett Rocket game needs to be a great plattformer in its essence.”

Screenshots will be released after the summer. As far as the actual game is concerned, it’ll be available on the eShop at the end of 2012.

“That game got through a lot of iterations but we took the time to make something really worthwhile. We experimented with different gameplay styles but in the end it was clear that a new Jett Rocket game needs to be a great plattformer in its essence. After the summer we should have some first screenshots to show you our efforts. We aim for a end of 2012 release for the game.”

This is amazing. For the third year in a row, a Professor Layton name has been trademarked in the US right before E3.

You know what that means! We’ll probably receive a Professor Layton localization announcement next month.

Level-5 filed a trademark for Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask just recently. Conveniently enough, that’s the next game in the series waiting to be brought stateside.

Spike TV has announced that it is partnering with EA to broadcast the company’s E3 2012 presentation called “The Download: EA 2012 Preview”. The event will be shown on Spike TV as well as MTV2.

Already-announced titles as well as brand new games will be featured.

EA will host its E3 2012 presentation on June 2 at 4:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT. You can find the official press release about the news below.

WayForward has made the Mighty Switch Force update official today. We already heard that it’ll be made available for European 3DS owners this Thursday, and it sounds like the download will launch in North America this week as well.

The free update features five new bonus levels, enhanced 3D visuals, and a retry button.

SEGA could have two new game announcements on the way if trademarks are anything to go by. The company registered “Veil of Dark” and “The Shooting Coaster” in Japan.

Both names are completely shrouded in mystery. We’ll keep you posted on any future developments.

The official Twitter account for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has provided a few details about Square Enix’s upcoming RPG.

It’ll take 60-70 hours to complete Bravely Default. Well, maybe “complete” isn’t the best word. You can beat the game in 60-70 hours, but there’s still lots to do once you’ve seen the credits.

Bravely Default’s initial demos and promotion surrounded the game’s AR components. Interestingly, these elements comprise just 1% of the experience.

The title’s battle system’s involve summons. These apparently feature “elaborate visualizations”.

Another recent Square Enix release, Kingdom Hearts 3D, received a special 3DS system in Japan. It appears that Bravely Default won’t be getting the same treatment.
