Kojima looking to make Snake Eater 3D easy to use, paying attention to details

Hideo Kojima has said that he’s hoping Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be an accessible experience. He wants the game to be “as easy to use as possible.”
The developers working on the project are also paying attention to “the very small details”.
Kojima told CNN:
“We are trying to make it as easy to use as possible. We’re taking a lot of care in the very small details, like when you lay down, using the screen below to change your weapons.”
Capcom mulling over plans for Mega Man’s anniversary, “top men” discussing series’ future
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
2011 was a rough year for Mega Man. Two games in the series was cancelled, and Keiji Inafune left Capcom.
We’re not sure what lies ahead for the Blue Bomber, but Capcom is currently thinking about the series’ future.
Christian Svensson first commented on Mega Man’s 25th anniversary during an “Ask Capcom” show:
“We are continuing to noodle what our plans and what our celebration should be. There’s a whole bunch of things that we know we kind of have to get in a row before we actually really divulge or start to celebrate Mega Man.”
Svensson went on to discuss the series’ future in general:
“I hesitate to say exactly what, because I don’t want people reading more into it than is there. Let’s just say there are top men thinking about and actively discussing where we’re going to take the brand for the next ten years and how we’re going to do it.”
It probably wouldn’t be the best business decision for Capcom, but I’d personally be thrilled if the company revived Mega Man Legends 3. Probably won’t happen, though…
A few Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D details
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
IGN recently published a new preview of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. There isn’t a ton of new information, though there are a few tidbits that I thought were worth pointing out.
The new details are as follows:
– Uses a 4GB cartridge
– IGN says that the graphics “look as good to better than they did on the PlayStation 2”
– Aiming and camera control are handled with the face buttons
– Can adjust sensitivity
– Quicker access to the inventory, weapon selection, menus, etc. thanks to the touch screen
– HUD is completely clear now
– Seems nearly identical to the PlayStation 2 version
Capcom’s Ono: More to Wii U than shown at E3 2011, will have unique possibilities
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono provided some cryptic statements when asked about the Wii U in a recent interview. The Street Fighter X Tekken producer hyped up the console and said “Wii U will be a console with so many and unique possibilities that it will be difficult to show them in the box they are going to sell it or to be published by magazines and other mediums.”
Ono also teased that there’s more to Wii U than what Nintendo showed at last year’s E3.
His full comments are as follows:
“What we saw last E3 is not a reflection of everything this console is able to offer. We have been trying the development kits and some of its new characteristics will improve its possibilities. It isn’t something like Kinect or similar accessories, it’s something different.
“I can’t tell you more about it because, if I do, Nintendo will send assassins to finish me! (laughs) But let’s say that Wii U will be a console with so many and unique possibilities that it will be difficult to show them in the box they are going to sell it or to be published by magazines and other mediums.”
So… Maybe we’ll see a new Wii U project from Ono at this year’s E3?
