A child’s 3DS Christmas surprise

Hey, it’s like the Nintendo 64 kid all over again. This child was expecting to receive a puzzle, but his parents completely surprised him by getting him a 3DS instead. I’m sure we’ll see something like this when the Wii U launches next year!

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 not coming to WiiWare?
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 made it out for WiiWare over a year ago, but it doesn’t sound like the sequel will arrive on Nintendo’s current home console. Episode 2 was officially announced today, but SEGA made no mention of a Wii version. Digital Brand Manager Ken Balough told GameSpot that the game will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android, Windows Mobile 7 phone, and iOS devices.
Despite WiiWare’s file size limitations, Episode 1 ended up on the Wii Shop Channel without any issues. Balough did say that the new title will make use of a new graphics engine. Could that be the reason why there won’t be a WiiWare version?

Nintendo to begin 3DS photography contests in Japan on January 18
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Nintendo will kick off a variety of Japanese 3D photography contests on January 18. People who own a 3DS can upload photos taken on the system to a new campaign site, which you can find here. After celebrity judges choose their favorite submissions, the winners will receive prizes.
You’ll be able to see the photos that have been submitted on the campaign site. Although you can access the site on your PC, visiting the site on your 3DS will allow you to see the images in 3D.
Nintendo hasn’t announced what prizes can be expected. They’ll likely share that information and additional details before January 18.
