A unique partnership between Nintendo and acclaimed designer Charlotte Ronson is putting an interactive twist on this year’s Fashion Week festivities in New York. To celebrate the upcoming launch of Style Savvy™, the new fashion game for the Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ hand-held systems, Ronson and Nintendo will give attendees a sneak preview of the game at the Sept. 11 runway show after-party for Ronson’s hotly anticipated spring 2010 line.

New characters from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars were supposed to be unveiled at TGS, but one of those characters has already been announced in this week’s Famitsu. Tekkaman Blade (D-Boy), a star of an old anime show, will be making an appearance in the game. Now you may be wondering, why would Famitsu make this type of reveal? Well, Ultimate All-Stars (the localized version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for North America) will be heading to Japan and it’s confirmed to support online play. The title will be out this winter.

SEGA making a new 2D Sonic game, but it’s probably not coming to Wii

I was debating whether or not to post this, since it seems like this game won’t be heading to Wii. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Ken Ballough from SEGA stated in an interview that “You can definitely expect HD graphics.” I’m still hoping that this will head to the Wii, though I wouldn’t count on it at this point.

Frontier may consider LostWinds for DSiWare
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 2 Comments
“We think DSiWare, in common with all digital distribution, is great. It allows developers like us to make innovations which would otherwise be more difficult to bring to market. At Frontier we are fortunate in that we have been able to fund the LostWinds projects ourselves and therefore retain complete creative control, which is a fantastic experience.
The challenge currently for all involved is to get the awareness / acceptance of the various digital distribution services as high as retail disc / cartridge.
When we’ve finished Winter of the Melodias, the team will sit down and plan / prioritise which of the many directions we can go with LostWinds next. DSiWare is an option that could be in the mix.” – avid Braben, founder and chief executive officer of Frontier Interactive
I think I’d like to see LostWinds or DSiWare, or at the very least, I’d like to see the developers try it! I suppose it all depends on how successfully the franchise could translate to the DS.
Red Steel 2 creative director interested in seeing the series on other platforms

When comparing Red Steel and its sequel, it’s quite clear that the second title has gone through a massive overhaul. This is, of course, partially a result of the technology behind Wii MotionPlus. But perhaps the series will see another evolution by the time the next game is ready for development. At PAX 2009, Red Steel 2 creative director Jason VandenBerghe made a few remarks about bringing Red Steel to other platforms. Although the decision will ultimately be up to Ubisoft, VandenBerghe seemed thrilled with the idea.
“I will be pushing to make that happen (placing Red Steel on other platforms).”
“I personally would love to see any and all consoles have more sword fighting experiences.”
