Pokemon Unite update version 1.12.1.2

Pokemon Unite is back with its latest update and version 1.12.1.2 is now available for download.

The update paves the way for Blaziken, who is coming soon. It also includes new ranks for Ranked Matches, lots of balance adjustments, and more.

Here’s the full rundown:

Sonic Superstars Limited Edition

Sonic Superstars won’t have a limited edition in the west, but in Asia, things are a bit different.

A limited edition of the game will be available in the region for launch next month and it includes a few extras. Buyers will receive the game, a figure, signed original artwork reproduction, and acrylic stand.

Detective Pikachu Returns development

To say that we’ve been waiting a long time for Detective Pikachu Returns would be an understatement. After it was first teased in 2019, it was finally revealed this year.

Director Yasunori Yanagisawa spoke about the wait in an interview with IGN. Yanagisawa explained that the project took roughly five years overall, and moving from Switch to 3DS allowed for many more possibilities.

Yanagisawa explained:

My Nintendo members in North America can get their hands on the latest physical reward, with the site adding a Super Mario shopping bag.

One side includes a selection of Super Mario characters and the classic Super Mario series logo on the other. Aside from the bag itself where you can obviously carry things, there’s another little wrinkle to it. Nintendo mentions that it can be folded into a Question Mark Box pocket that makes it compact and easy to carry.

Gargoyles Remastered release date

Gargoyles Remastered finally has a release date, and it’s due out very soon. Disney and Empty Clip Studios confirmed that it will launch on October 19, 2023.

Gargoyles Remastered is an updated version of the ’90s 16-bit side-scrolling platform adventure. It’ll feature enhanced visuals, animations, and SFX plus achievements, gameplay rewind, and more.

The Pale Beyond

Today, publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Bellular Studios announced that they’re putting The Pale Beyond on Switch. It’s due out on October 6, 2023.

The Pale Beyond is a polar exploration survival game that takes place in an unforgiving frozen wasteland. Players will go on a treacherous voyage across the ice and into a stunning yet harsh landscape that can change at any moment.

ReedPop and ESA previously teamed up in hopes of bringing back E3 for a 2023 event, but as we know, the whole thing was eventually scrapped. Now the two sides are parting ways without ever putting on a show together. Apparently it was a “mutual decision”.

ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis said in a statement: “We appreciate ReedPop’s partnership over the past 14 months and support their ongoing efforts to bring industry and fans together through their various events. While the reach of E3 remains unmatched in our industry, we are continuing to explore how we can evolve it to best serve the video game industry and are evaluating every aspect of the event, from format to location. We are committed to our role as a convenor for the industry and look forward to sharing news about E3 in the coming months.”

Abomi Nation release date

It’s been a little while since we last heard about the Switch version of Abomi Nation, but the game just got a release date. Dangen Entertainment passed along with that it’ll be available on September 28, 2023.

Abomi Nation is a casual monster-taming roguelite developed by Orange Pylon Games. It was first announced for Switch in June 2022.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Ember

Another Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character reveal is in, and it’s been confirmed that Ember from Danny Phantom will be on the roster.

Ember, a music-based character, has far-reaching attacks based on her guitar-shredding abilities. The team has also implemented a “Cheer” mechanic in which successful attacks fill up a meter. This provides her with increased attack power and additional perks.

Charles Martinet Shigeru Miyamoto Mario

Nintendo has dropped a video that it previously teased in which Shigeru Miyamoto and Charles Martinet talk about the change of Mario’s voice actor. It was posted on social media a short while ago.

Martinet, who voiced Mario and other characters from Nintendo for decades, is now a Mario Ambassador. Miyamoto said that “in this role Charles will continue to travel around the world and meet fans, performing the familiar voices at events, signing autographs, and enjoying interacting with you all.”
