Wii U seemingly uses less energy than other current-gen and last-gen consoles

The Natural Resources Defense Council has put together a report that investigates the amount of energy used by current-gen and last-gen consoles. Wii U seems to come out on top of all systems – even beating out its predecessor. Check out the full results in the graphic above.

“CheeseCake Cool Conrad” planned for the Wii U eShop

CheeseCake Cool Conrad is heading to the Wii U eShop as well as Ouya and Steam. Reload Game Studio describes it as “a Mario Galaxy in 2D where the player must avoid all hazards, collect items, and find secret cakes”.
You can find a trailer for CheeseCake Cool Conrad above. It’s due out this summer.

Artworks from various cancelled Silicon Knights projects have appeared online, as discovered by NeoGAF’s Shiggy. Among the collection are images from Eternal Darkness 2. Some of these were shown when Silicon Knights’ unveiled its Eternal Darkness spiritual successor – Shadow of the Eternals.

Here’s a little bit of trivia for you: all Mario Kart games are made from scratch. Nintendo doesn’t reuse its programming, assets, or other material across entries in the series.
We know this thanks to a Mario Kart 8 interview with director Kosuke Yabuki recently conducted by EDGE. The magazine mentioned that vehicles are easy to handle once acclimatized to, but wondered if Yabuki ever worried about the possibility of making the game less immediate.
