Rumor: 3DS NNID account system and Hulu news coming this year

Rumor has it that Nintendo Network ID functionality will be expanded to the 3DS. News about the account system, as well as Hulu support for the platform, is allegedly due later this year.
The speculation comes from Emily Rogers, who has maintained a fairly decent track record when it comes to Nintendo rumors.
Rogers tweeted a short while ago:
Should hear about 3DS NNID account system before end of this year.Hulu coming to 3DS this year.

The Wii U currently incorporates a Nintendo Network ID, which connects to the Nintendo Network. It is used for Miiverse and friend mechanics.

A Hat in Time’s dev trying to get Unreal license for Wii U version

A Hat in Time’s developer has been pushing to get its game on the Wii U. As far as the specifics go, creator Jonas Kaerlev and his studio Gears for Breakfast needs to obtain a license to port the game over, as it’s made in Unreal.
Gears for Breakfast is currently in talks with Epic Games to work out a deal. Additionally, Kaerlev confirmed to Polygon that the team is talking with a separate publisher about using their license in exchange for a “cut of the cake.” Gears for Breakfast has also been in touch with Nintendo so that it can become a licensed publisher on Wii U.
Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit Land mixes action adventure, platforming, and arcade shooting gameplay

D3Publisher’s initial announcement for Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit Land contained story details, but didn’t say much about gameplay. Thankfully, Amazon has come through with a bit of information.
Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit Land offers a mix of action adventure, platforming, arcade shooting. As expected, you’ll play as Mordecai and Rigby, and as previously announced, series creator J. G. Quintel is on board to write an original storyline.
Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit Land also features 8-bit graphics – something that the title obviously suggests.
Amazon is listing a tentative October 29 release date and $29.99 price point for Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit Land. You can pre-order the game here.
Yoshi is Japan’s only Wii U VC game this week

Japan’s lone Wii U Virtual Console release this week is Yoshi. It launches on June 12 for 500 yen.
Yoshi is also coming to North America and Europe as June’s Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign title. It will be available for $4.99 / €4.99 / £4.49.
First Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag multiplayer screenshots/art leak out

Speaking of Ubisoft leaks, here’s another one for you: the first multiplayer screenshots and art from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Images from the game popped up on the Russian social network VK ahead of the publisher’s E3 2013 press conference tomorrow. You can bet we’ll be seeing more of Black Flag then.

Fans release “Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii”, includes 130 levels

Development on “Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii” is complete. Fans have been developing the project for three years, and it can now finally be downloaded so long as you have a Wii, a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, an SD card with 570MB of space, and a way to transfer files onto an SD card. The download link and more information can be found here.
