As part of a surprise at the end of yesterday’s European Nintendo Direct, Wario Land 3 was released on the 3DS eShop. System owners can purchase the Virtual Console title now for £4.49 / €4.99.

The pearl pink 3DS XL was previously available only as part of a limited edition bundle. Now Nintendo has released the system to various North American retailers as a standalone product.

Currently, the system can be purchased from Best Buy and Target and through through third-party sellers on Amazon.

GameStop will also be selling the pink 3DS XL starting on December 9. Polygon reports that the 3DS and 3DS XL will come with a free copy of Steel Diver or any Nintendogs title.

There are lots of Wii U apps on the way – especially for the Japanese Wii U console. Panorama View, Google Maps, and Nico Nico were previously announced for the system. In addition to these programs, Demae-Can and YNN services will be coming to Wii U in 2013.

The Demae-Can app acts as a TV delivery service. YNN, on the other hand, provides video content including anime, sports, and movies. Neither app can be used without a membership.
