Pokemon X/Y players have found a couple of references to Hoenn in the game. This discovery, along with other hints, has sparked speculation over the possibility of a future Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remake.

Pokemon Red/Blue were remade as FireRed and LeafGreen for the Game Boy Advance. Then came HeartGold/SoulSilver for the DS. Might Ruby and Sapphire be next for the 3DS?

Interviews with Eiji Aonuma stemming from his appearance at the New York Comic Con continue to pour in. IGN was yet another site that managed to sneak in a few questions about the series, and more specifically, A Link Between Worlds. Topics addressed in IGN’s talk include the game’s position in the timeline, Yuga, the triforce, why the bracelet was picked as the means of transitioning between Hyrule and Lorule, and more.

You can find a Q&A roundup below. IGN’s full piece is located here.

In some of the more recent Zelda titles, there hasn’t been much of a point in buying rupees. That’s all changing with Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which is almost completely dependent on the currency. Players will buy and/or rent items this time around rather than acquiring them for free in dungeons.

Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma explained to Shacknews how the new direction with rupees came about:
