3DS

Nintendo announced a new Zelda title for the 3DS today, which is pretty much a sequel to A Link to the Past.

The two games really are quite similar – especially in terms of their overworld layouts. Based on footage provided by Nintendo, fans have managed to compile and compare maps from the original SNES game and the 3DS follow-up.

Bravely Default and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy are coming to both North America and Europe. But whereas the US will be forced to wait until next year to play these titles, Europe will be receiving them later this year.

Release dates haven’t been announced for either title at this point. But man, you Europeans are quite lucky in this case!

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime commented on a whole bunch of interesting topics while speaking with the media today.

Most items revolved around the 3DS – including the success of digital sales, sales milestones, and the eShop – but Reggie also commented a bit on the Wii U, Nintendo’s focus on titles as opposed to non-gaming entertainment, and the company’s situation with Amazon.

You can find a roundup of Reggie’s comments below.
