Nintendo’s decision to allow for Super Smash Bros. Melee streaming at Evo 2013 was a good thing – especially for the event itself.
Tournament founder Tom Cannon announced on Twitter has become the most-watched fighting game in history. Over 100,000 people tuned in to see the game in action, and that count continues to rise.
For now, Smash Bros Melee is the most watched fighting game in history, with 100k concurrent #evo2013 viewers!

You can watch the stream above. At the moment, over 130,000 fans are connected to the stream.

New tree-like Pokemon introduced
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment

Prior to the airing of the Extremespeed Genesect: Mewtwo’s Awakening movie in Japan, a new Pokemon X/Y commercial was shown. It gave a look at a couple of new things: the player riding a bike and another brand new Pokemon tentatively known as “Aurotto”.
We don’t have a clear image of it yet (two rough sketches are above), but Pokebeach does say that Aurotto “was brown and green like a tree’s typical coloring but looked extremely menacing and spider-like.” The commercial depicted the Pokemon in a hoard battle.

With the 3DS VC release of Shantae on the way, Nintendo gave a look at some early sketches from the game on its UK 3DS Facebook page. The images, taken from series creator Matt Bozon’s sketch book, show first drawings designed by character creator Erin Bozon. View the gallery above for sketches developed while designing the game (1994-1999) and during production (1999-2002).
Goodbye Galaxy Games bringing Tappingo to the 3DS eShop
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 1 Comment
Goodbye Galaxy Games, developer of the Flipper, Color Commando, and Ace Mathician games, is creating its first project for the 3DS eShop known as “Tappingo”. It has over 100 puzzles to complete based on different themes, a time attack mode, and more.
Here’s an overview of how the game works, courtesy of the official Tappingo website:

– The main goal is to solve the puzzle by making all the Lines the correct length
– If the player is successful a picture will appear
– Each block has a arrow pointing either (up, down, left or right).
– The number indicates how long the line has to be.
– If the player taps on the block, the line will start running.
– The line will ONLY stop if it hits another block.
– You can re-tract a line by tapping the block again.
– When a line is running, it will count down to 0.
– If the line is not stopped at 0, it will start to count up again showing a red number.
– If the line is stopped at 0, a ‘OK’ sign will be shown.
– The main goal is to get all blocks to show ‘OK’.
Tappingo does not have a release date at present. You can find more information about the game on the website here.
