The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons launched on the Japanese 3DS eShop a couple of weeks ago. Both games haven’t been released on the North American or European stores yet, but they are on the way.

Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma popped up on the series’ official Miiverse community today with a message regarding the launch of Oracle of Ages and Seasons in the west. While he couldn’t provide a specific date for their arrival, he did confirm that both will be available before summer. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Shigeru Miyamoto commented on a number of new wide-ranging topics in an interview with the New York Times. While talking with the publication, Miyamoto chatted about video game violence, the Wii U’s reception/sales thus far, and expressed excitement over the “tremendous amount of possibilities” provided by online play.

All of Miyamoto’s responses are posted below.

Along with a couple of Little Battlers games, this month’s issue of CoroCoro has revealed a new Inazuma Eleven project.

Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy will feature the same kind of gameplay fans have become accustomed to. There aren’t many details at the moment, but a first trailer will be shown on March 30.

As far as I can tell, there isn’t an explicit platform mention for Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy. But given the series’ past, this one will almost certainly land on the 3DS.

A pair of Little Battlers 3DS games have been revealed in the latest issue of CoroCoro. According to the magazine, Danball Senki Wars and Danball Senki W Super Custom are coming to Nintendo’s portable.

Danball Senki W Super Custom, an updated version of the PS Vita/PSP title, is due out in Japan this summer. Danball Senki Wars is completely original, though doesn’t have a release date yet.

Ron Gilbert has announced his departure from Double Fine. Gilbert worked on one game since joining the studio in 2010, The Cave, which saw release in January.

Gilbert’s long-term plans are unclear. However, he did confirm that his immediate efforts will be focused on the iOS title “Scurvy Scallywags in The Voyage to Discover the Ultimate Sea Shanty: A Musical Match-3 Pirate RPG”.

A message from Gilbert reads:

Now that The Cave is done and unleashed on an unsuspecting world (ok, we did do a bunch of PR, so it wasn’t exactly unsuspecting), it’s time for me to move on from Double Fine and plot my next move.

Nintendo is coming out with a major expansion for New Super Mario Bros. U. Sometime within the next few months, owners of the Wii U game will be able to experience loads of brand new levels in “New Super Luigi U”.

New Super Luigi U will be more like a level pack rather than a completely new adventure. The DLC won’t feature an original story for Luigi, according to Shigeru Miyamoto, “but all of the levels have been redesigned”.

Regarding Mario, Miyamoto wasn’t able to confirm (or deny) if the other mustached hero will be making appearance.

Miyamoto told MTV Multiplayer:

“There are some people that say that they want Mario to appear, but Mr. Tezuka is saying that he’s not going to let Mario into this game.”

Take a look at the video above for more from Miyamoto on Luigi. There’s even more here.

Those who are interested in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct can pre-order at Amazon for a fairly significant discount. The retailer has slashed the game’s price to just $37.50 – savings of $12.50, or 25%.

Place an order for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct here. The game launches on March 19.

Update: Nintendo will release a new Mint X White 3DS XL color in Japan. Additionally, a Tomodachi Collection bundle will be available featuring the game pre-installed. This will launch on April 18 – the same day Tomodachi Collection releases.

Don’t you just love it when Nintendo Directs pop up out of nowhere?! This one isn’t major, but we’ll update this post with any important details as we get them.
