Transfer Wii digital downloads to Wii U, cradle comes with console

Scott Moffitt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, has confirmed that digital downloads purchased on the Wii can be transferred over to Wii. This presumably means that all Virtual Console and WiiWare games can be placed on the new console.
Specifics on the transfer process have not been announced.
Moffitt briefly touched on the Wii U’s account system as well, noting, “You will have an individual account based system. Each member of your family might have their own account.”
In its report, ABC News said that there’s no brightness controls for the Wii U GamePad. That sounds a little fishy to me based on what we heard about the controller’s battery life, but we shall see. One thing that we can say for sure is that all Wii U consoles will be sold with a charging cradle.
Using two Wii U GamePads chop frame rate in half

Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that the Wii U is capable of supporting two GamePads. The functionality does come with a caveat, however.
When you use two GamePads at once, the framerate gets chopped in half to 30 frames-per-second. That’s according to Satoru Iwata, who tweeted about the news earlier today.
Iwata went on to say that all launch games will use just one GamePad. Games that make use of two will be unveiled in the future.
According to Iwata:
“When you use two, the framerate halfs to 30 frames per second. At launch, we’ll start by offering games that use only one [Wii U GamePad] and then expand from there.”
