A good portion of Nintendo’s E3 2012 media briefing will focus on the Wii U. Yes, we know that. We also know that there is a software showcase event on Wednesday which will feature 3DS software.

However, although some folks were ruling out the 3DS completely for the conference, it does seem as though the handheld will be there, even if it’s just for a bit.

Nintendo has apparently hired a company to take b-roll footage of tomorrow’s games, including first and third-party titles for the Wii U and 3DS. It’d probably make sense to highlight New Super Mario Bros. 2, even if it is just for a minute.

In any case, look forward to some 3DS news. It might not be much, but there will be something! More 3DS goodness will come our way during the software showcase.

Here’s a little sales trivia for you. Rabbids Travel in Time 3D, one of the latest games in the franchise, has sold 250,000 units life-to-date.

Ubisoft didn’t say if these sales are specific to the U.S. or worldwide, but we do know that the game was a relative success for the company. I’m sure that’s one of the big reasons why we’re seeing Rabbids Rumble on the 3DS this year.

Ubisoft showed even more footage of Assassin’s Creed III during Sony’s E3 2012 conference. The footage provides a first look at some of the game’s sea action.

E3 is supposed to be about celebrating the gaming industry with new titles, exciting news, and announcements. Unbelievably, though, THQ took the time today to disband its entire San Diego team.

There’s no details yet as to why the move was made, but further information will likely leak out over the next few days/weeks.

THQ San Diego’s one and only game was WWE All-Stars. It was released last year on all major platforms.

VentureBeat has posted a massive interview with Xavier Poix, the main man behind Ubisoft France. The entire discussion was dedicated to Wii U.

Poix shared some very significant information about Ubisoft’s plans for the console. In the Q&A roundup below, you’ll learn about the company’s overall plans for the console, ideas for Miiverse, and more. Poix also revealed that, contrary to what most fans had hoped for, just one GamePad can be used with the system. Finally, there’s a tease that Ubisoft will be something tomorrow at Nintendo’s media briefing.

Read on below for more details.

So I just logged into Ubisoft’s press site, and it seems to show which Wii U games we can expect at launch.

Rabbids Land, ZombiU, and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 will apparently be available on day one. Assassin’s Creed III is listed for October 2012, but I believe that’s temporary… unless the Wii U is actually coming out that month. Rayman Legends appears to be a 2013 title.
