The North American Kid Icarus: Uprising boxart is on the left. The Japanese boxart is on the right.

For the most part, the two images are the same. The main differences appear to be Pit’s facial expression and the size of the Monoeye enemies.

Do you prefer one over the other?

Thanks to Jake for the tip!

Anybody pick this up from the North American eShop yet? If you’re a pinball fan, you should definitely check it out!

The Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy demo hit the Japanese eShop earlier this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if the trial arrived on the North American/European stores sometime in the near future!

Nintendo has confirmed that the stand included with Japanese edition of Kid Icarus: Uprising will also be made available in North America. As is the case in Japan, it will be free of charge and comes with each printing of the game.

Nintendo of America sent out the following statement today:

“Nintendo is including a free stand with all copies of the Kid Icarus: Uprising game for the Nintendo 3DS system. The stand holds the Nintendo 3DS at an angle above any flat surface and provides players with a comfortable option for playing. The game’s control scheme was designed to fit the game’s unique blend of flight, shooting and melee combat, and offers tremendous precision. Our product testing demonstrated that players found the stand to be comfortable and enjoyable.”

Kid Icarus: Uprising launches in North America on March 23.
