Zelda: Skyward Sword could have been released in 2010
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Nintendo initially planned to launch The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword last year. However, the company announced at E3 2010 that more development time was needed and the game was pushed back.
In the latest edition of Iwata Asks, Shigeru Miyamoto said that they technically could have shipped Skyward Sword last year, but Nintendo “probably would have put a half-finished product on sale”.
“If we’d only been thinking about what was most convenient for the company when we made this new game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, we probably would have put a half-finished product on sale last Christmas by saying that we have managed to make it on time just because it was the order from the company
“We spent six months making the game, and another six months fine-tuning it. Because the game we were making was so huge, we needed to work that hard on it. Otherwise it would have felt like a waste. We spent so much time making a really good game and it came out so well that it would have been a waste not to make sure that it was really polished.”
Iwata also commented on the situation:
“If I had said last Christmas, ‘We need something to be our big end of the year product. Make a new Legend of Zelda game,’ you would have made some sort of game. Because you would have spent as much time as you had and put in as much energy as you could to make it.”
Nano Assault now arriving on December 5

Majesco has announced a new release date for Nano Assault. The shooter is now scheduled for December 5.
All things considered, that wasn’t too long of a delay – it was pushed back for around two weeks. It’s going to face some heavy competition going up against Mario Kart 7, though.
Rumor: Dragon Quest VII or Final Fantasy VII remix in the works for 3DS
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 0 comments
There’s a rumor going around that Square Enix is remixing either Dragon Quest VII or Final Fantasy VII for the 3DS. Supposedly “Creamsugar” has learned that this announcement will be made next year.
“OK here is the rumor: big N will announce a megaton on next year’s meeting which to celebrate 3DS sold XX million. …It’s a remix version of the 7th game of a famous (J)RPG series, and will sell half year later of a spin-off game of the series. …The source told me at the end of year 2010, there will be a power up version of MH3 for 3DS. And then we all knew it during this year’s TGS”
For some reason, this speculation is being picked up on a variety of sites. And really, I have no idea why. The “source” seems questionable, and has provided some information in the past that has seen mixed results. But I suppose there could be some truth to the rumors as there are a few folks out there who have faith in this person. It’d be nice if this turns out to be true, but I wouldn’t count on it until something more official comes our way. That may take quite a bit of time.

Zelda character makes cameo appearance in Skyward Sword

There’s a well-known character in the Zelda franchise who makes an appearance in Skyward Sword. However, the character isn’t actually in the game… it’s more of an Easter egg I suppose! Have I confused you yet?
All of this vagueness is probably bugging you, so I’ll just stop talking now. You can find out who this mystery character is after the break.
