Having finished up development on Iron Man 2 for Wii back in May, High Voltage Software will once again be working on a video game adaption of a movie. SEGA has asked HVS to develop a title based on Captain America: The First Avenger, though the Wii product will be subtitled First Flight. We’re still waiting to hear about gameplay details, but the first round of information is expected to arrive in a few days.

Sakamoto not sure what’s next for Metroid, open to working with Team Ninja again
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 6 Comments
Metroid: Other M is a significant entry in the Metroid franchise for a number of reasons. The game will always be remembered for Nintendo’s surprising collaboration with Team Ninja. Now that Other M is out in stores, one has to wonder if the Big N will ever work with the developers of Ninja Gaiden again in the future. Yoshio Sakamoto admitted in a recent interview that he isn’t sure what’s next for Samus, but he did say that he is “very willing to work with Team Ninja once again,” especially if the “next Metroid is going to be a linear extension of Other M.”
“There’s always the possibility and if the opportunity comes I’m very willing to work with Team Ninja once again. After all I’m very grateful for the collaboration with Team Ninja coming up with Metroid Other M for this one and even though we are two different companies I think we successfully removed the wall between two different companies.
So as far as my opinion is concerned if we are going to make something similar to Metroid Other M in the future I cannot think that it would be possible for Nintendo to make it without collaborating with Team Ninja. Afterall they are that good a partner to us and we are pretty valuable to them as well.
As far as I’m concerned I’m willing to work with them once again if the opportunity comes but, of course, before deciding anything I have to admit I have no idea about what I should do with this Metroid franchise.
If we are going to decide the next Metroid is going to be a linear extension of Other M then Team Ninja comes first in my mind as the partner for us to collaborate with.
But if I’m going to decide that it’s going to be a different story for the next Metroid adventure then depending on the skills, know-how and technology that might require, Team Ninja might not be the choice for us to collaborate with.
But once again I don’t have any idea right now.”
Capcom explains why there is no Wii version of Mega Man Universe
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 15 Comments
Mega Man Universe was unveiled a few months ago, but unlike Mega Man 9/10, a Wii version was not announced. Since then, quite a number of gamers have been wondering why the title won’t be making its way to Nintendo’s console. Well, as it turns out, a filesize restriction has prevented Universe from coming to the Wii Shop Channel. A representative at PAX confirmed that even though Capcom was hoping to make a Wii version, the company simply couldn’t do so at this time because it would be too big for WiiWare.
