Here’s a piece of interesting news. According to a page from Nintendo’s Japanese E3 site, Square Enix is developing Mario Sports Mix. This won’t be the companies first work with a Mario sports game, however. Square Enix also created Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for the DS, which was released in 2006.

– There is an on-screen reticule to gauge depth
– No sound/teammates don’t show up on screen like before (early on, could be added later)

– Discussions between Sakurai and Iwata began in July 2008
– Sakurai was the first developer outside Nintendo to see the 3DS
– Sakurai wanted to make something traditional, yet new at the same time
– Play with the slider pad
– L button is for firing
– Use stylus to aim
– Sakurai wants to make the controls simple
– Can fly for five minutes
– Get to land battle destination, then fights on land
– Can get through the game without having to defeat every enemy
– For casual and hardcore gamers

TOKYO, JAPAN – 16 June 2010 – NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. today announced it has five titles in development for Nintendo 3DSTM, the recently announced portable gaming device from Nintendo Co., Ltd. which employs stereogram technology.

With final title names, detailed game information and release dates to be revealed at a later date, the five titles in development are as follows:
