Captivate was held in Hawaii last week, but due to an embargo, news has been relatively quiet. There has been some speculation here and there, though nothing has been made official just yet. Well, tomorrow Capcom will pull back the curtain on the whole event. Will Capcom announce Okamiden for North America? Or will they reveal a new Resident Evil game for Wii? Both of those possibilities have popped up over the past few days, but tomorrow we’ll know if there was any truth to those rumors.

“Is this a Sony versus Nintendo question? Because I don’t want to get into that. We wanted to bring Monster Hunter to a new audience, and since Wii gamers are from a broad range this opportunity excites us. As for bringing more Monster Hunters to the Wii, we prefer to see a project through to absolute completion before we think about what’s next, and even though Monster Hunter Tri launched last year in Japan and is about to launch here, there is still much we can bring to the game, with it being so heavily network-based.” – director Kaname Fujioka

It’s strange that Mr. Fujioka had a reaction like that since the question seemed harmless! Although, I suppose it is too soon to begin talking about another Monster Hunter for consoles. I’m sure it’s going to be a long time before we hear anything concrete.
