Mystery and Puzzle Solving at its Finest

NEW YORK- August 18, 2009—Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq OTC: PLGC.OB), and independent worldwide publisher of entertainment software, announced today that Sudoku Ball™- Detective is available now in retail stores nationwide for Nintendo DS™ handheld device and PC.

Sudoku Ball™- Detective puts a new spin on one of America’s favorite puzzle games with a unique and entertaining detective twist. Inspired by murder mystery games and famous English detective stories, Sudoku Ball™- Detective puts you in the role of a small town detective on the trail of a murderer. Each puzzle you solve along the way represents a separate stage of the investigation. Search through clues, pick locks, investigate evidence in the lab, and close in on catching your suspect!

A classic Nintendo game will be launching for the Wii Virtual Console this Friday in Europe. The company plans on releasing PilotWings, which originally came out for the SNES, for 800 points. There’s no word yet when the game will be available in North America, but it should be noted that the title was rated by the ESRB quite some time ago.

Thanks to Jake for the news tip!

Back in March, a YouTube user posted a few videos of Wii games running in 720p. This was done using a Wii PC emulator called Dolphin. And most recently, photos of Super Mario Galaxy in 720p surfaced. Now, using the Dolphin emulator once again, screenshots of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition have been taken.

“Our gratification is when we read those message boards and we hear how much fun people have playing our games.” – Michael Kelbaugh – Executive Producer, President & CEO

“When Retro Studios develops games, the first audience that we think about are the fans of that series. And that is what drives our gameplay decisions.” – Mike Wikan – Senior Designer

You can clearly tell that Retro Studios wanted to pay respect to Metroid when developing the Prime games. Of course, some gameplay elements were different, but Prime 1, 2, and 3 featured a number of classic elements from the Metroid series.
