“It’s something that we’re looking into at the moment and there are a few factors to consider. Firstly, Monster Hunter isn’t as popular in the West, so it might put people off. Secondly, Japan doesn’t have Friend Codes, so Capcom run all the servers and the monthly fee is essentially to pay for those costs.” – Chris Kramer, Capcom USA’s Senior Director of Communications and Community

To be honest, I’m not a fan of online fees at all. With that said, I’m sure that many gamers aren’t. If there are no additional charges for Monster Hunter 3, that’d be a huge plus in my book.

On October 11, Toys R Us will apparently be holding a new game sale on all games. Consumers will be able to participate in a “buy 2, get 1 free” deal until October 17. However, as is always the case, the third title must be of equal or lesser value than the other two products.

A similar offer was available in September, but that only applied to $20 titles and under. For now though, it appears as though only residents in the United States will be able to take advantage of this deal.

“…In terms of Inazuma 11, RPGs are tough enough to sell in America as it’s considered a niche genre, but combine that with soccer and it would make it that much harder to get support from retailers regardless of how good the games may be.” – XSEED rep

Even though I’d love to see Inazuma 11 out in North America, I have to agree with XSEED. And unfortunately, I’m not so confident the game would sell well even though it’s a high-quality product. You may remember that the game received a 36/40 from Famitsu last year.
