Xaladia: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 DLC

A ton of games launched on the Switch eShop yesterday, but one new title you might not be aware of is Xaladia: Rise of the Space Pirates X2. Though it was previously announced for the console, it turns out you can buy it right now.

Xaladia: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is the first self-published release from Acquire – the company behind Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, Akiba’s Trip, and Octopath Traveler. We shared the news originally, but here’s some information about the game:

EA Sports FC 24 footage

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for September 2023.

The FIFA games were always popular in the region, so it’s no surprise that EA Sports FC 24 takes the top spot. Mortal Kombat 1 debuts at #3, with first three weeks of sales down 24 percent compared with the opening of Mortal Kombat 11.

Switch was the third best-selling console of the month. However, sales actually increased 18 percent over August.

Super Mario Bros Wonder has finally released today on Switch, and Nintendo have shared a new launch trailer to commemorate the occasion. The game is the latest 2D side-scrolling adventure in the series, and offers a variety of new transformations for players to discover.

Super Mega Baseball 4 just received its fifth major update, and it’s a big one, providing a whole host of bug fixes and improvements across the board.

World of Horror release date

Original (6/7): After it was first confirmed for Switch five years ago, World of Horror now has a release date. Ysbryd Games and Panstasz announced today that it will launch on October 19, 2023.

Detective Pikachu Returns icons

Original (9/28): New icons just went up on Nintendo Switch Online, and Detective Pikachu Returns is getting the spotlight. Some recent waves of icons have been reruns or based on titles already featured, but this one is brand new. It also comes ahead of the upcoming launch of the game itself.

Selva Interactive just announced a final release date for the Switch version of Illuminaria, its resource management game. The title is slated for October 26, 2023.

Illuminaria was previously made known for Switch at the end of June. The game ended up missing its summer launch window on Nintendo’s console, but is now arriving in just a few days.
